Ignorance of Believing

Words in any language are a sound that attempts to communicate an impression, perception, mood, truth, etc., for two or more people to relate. The christian bible in Genesis starts out with ‘in the beginning was the word’. Word? What word? To believe that is ignorance without questioning the statement. There were no words … sounds perhaps? Beginning? Isn’t that just a useful word to create some form of resonance?

One either knows or doesn’t. Believing strongly implies ‘doubt’, and certainly not ‘knowing’. Believing in ideologies and religious information without questioning it is no different than cave man believing in spirits that they would fear and worship. Some of it may be true, and experienced personally with a clear mind. Most is conjecture or made up to mollify internal insecurities.

‘Believers’ become serial enablers of ignorant or fearful thinking of the lazy mind to and with others who lapse into the ‘coma of belief’, rather than having the courage to ‘know’. Imagine how people who ‘claim to be in love’, ‘believe they and their partner really are’ while they ‘twitch’ when you qualify it by saying, ‘deeply’? ‘Belief’ and faith in an invisible higher power is not knowing. It is ‘intellectual self hypnosis’ to avoid having to find out the truths for oneself.  Strangely, ‘believers, fight to defend their beliefs without seeing that the ‘dark side’ is doubt. It’s easy to say you believe, a whole different matter to have the courage to venture into the mysterious journey leading to knowing (not knowledge, that can be googled on the internet).

I have a guest here at the center who is excited about dropping her ‘beliefs’ and moving into ‘knowing’ or admitting that something that she’d like to know is still part of a journey away. Resistance to seeing truth beyond beliefs is akin to a ‘stroll over a mountain range’ – unbearable and formidable. Beliefs become more and more hardwired as time goes on to the point of throwing away the key. Resilience and openness to know the truth is a human virtue that fosters the growth of self love, and authentic love of others. An apple is not an orange! False truth is not real truth …or, is saying real truth redundant?!

Hell Loves Hell

Hell cannot easily see beyond itself! Hell usually comes by invitation only and stays past it’s welcoming to end up making some semblance of a home away from the glare of the light. It’s been said, ‘each creates their own hell’. I might add to that, ‘and looks unconsciously to partner up with it’s likeness.’  Misery loves company and love loves to stay away from that kind of company.

Easy is right unless one is unconscious and takes a path you hasn’t earned through ‘right living’. Being perceptive one can sense the uneasy route. Every path is a choice into the light of consciousness, or down the rocky road of obstacles that can be never ending ‘til the end of the road where there is no energy to seek the high roads of life.

Sensing uneasiness, one can assume something is wrong. If you are stressed or tense, it means you are leading an ‘uneasy life’. If you cannot sleep, cannot relax, and cannot let go, it means you are leading an uneasy life chasing the too difficult and the impossible things. Be open to change your style of life if you are uneasy. Stop and begin right looking at what is happening to be peaceful. That then is the criterion or benchmark for the path to follow. People begin wrong early in their life and only look at the fading rewards to justify going deeper into the dark woods of an increasing hell.

I see couples who plunged into unknown waters in an unexamined ecstasy only to find they either can’t swim for long or they never really come up from the plunge. On some level ‘hell seems to attract the comforts of more hell’ as in partners or marriage. One doesn’t make use of the tools to extricate themselves or the other as they sink to a level that they claimed they would never be in like others.  The ‘ego’ is reluctant to acknowledge the descent, and ends up justifying it with all kinds of denials and excuses.

What is right for you may or may not be right for another. One has to ascend themselves to what works easily for them. Cautiously listen to the world as many want to impose their beliefs and unproven methods and laws on you. Those who are ‘right’, will simply be happy to help you to be easy, and what you feel is right for you. Be in awareness and centered to feel the easiness of paths chosen. Love loves love!

Self Fighting

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing

Kung-fu-fighting! I’ve met some of the world’s best King-fu-fighters! The most hidden popular kind! Those who fight themselves and project it on others. Maybe it all started as little kids who when messing in their pants blamed it on their other sibling with innocence. Regardless, it’s one of the most perplexing and frightening displays of ‘shadow fighting’ known to man! It’s most popular in the arena of couples where one or both battles the ‘rif raf’ inside themselves leaving the other getting brainwashed into thinking it’s just them instead of watching with inner amusement at the display of ‘self anger’ before them and the other.

These ‘troubled souls’ come in all forms from the street bums talking to themselves to the ‘mogul attorney’ having to be in court daily with himself but pointing the finger at everyone else! Life need not be a fight but a flow in the direction of harmony and love. People become very good at fighting with themselves – no coaching needed! Beware of the overly friendly person as often they are always shopping for new stranger friends who have not experienced their ‘infighting’. When ‘unhappy self fighters’ become close to anyone they seem to seek reasons to feel annoyed, slighted, or any kind of irritation that comes with a reaction that often creates a reaction in the other to shove the blame on. It’s contagious as well as harmful to a peaceful sensible calm connection.

‘Friendliness’ is an important quality in a spiritual journey especially when from the heart and a clear mind. Buddha regarded ordinary love as below friendliness.  Ordinary love is tethered to the biological needs of sex while ‘friendliness’ is free from biological constraints. Take love out of sex and it is, the lowest form of friendliness, if even that.

Humans are the only animal that can face each other in sex, creating a potential bonding that is unknown in the animal kingdom. Fighting becomes replaced by a culture of love and bliss. A deep friendliness arises in the exchange of love when sex rises above the biological urge into a realm of ‘nirvana’. Love deepens when opening the eyes and looking into each other. All inner ‘kung-fu-fighting’ dissolves, and possibly permanently. Embrace self love, not self fighting.

Yeeeks! Time is a valuable possession! Is it slipping by more quickly than desired? Wondering if you’ve given life at this precious, magical time all that you’ve got? The only time left is NOW, and running around doing this and that is never going to work fully if you haven’t taken the time to repair what’s inside that needs it to find the greatest joy and blessings within. There is no blame, particularly of others. It’s just stepping away from the heart of the matter! Hmmm? I guess you don’t mind, it don’t matter …  mind over matter? Or, is a game of self denial, the oldest con game?

Hopefully, you run outa time on the slippery slopes of making money that only anesthetizes you into a numbing of false happiness and hope. I meet thousands and thousands of people naked of all their possessions to see more clearly who they really are. It’s quite a different picture than seeing them in their poverty or riches. It’s actually a great leveler of humanity when one has to show up naked of possessions and fineries, uh, and makeup masks! It’s like wakin’ up in the morning with a stranger in bed!

Their are stars in your soul yet rain in every life wherever you go. The roses need smelling and can’t be smelled from speeding by in the ‘Beemer’ car going to and fro for what and where, who knows? Life is like a New York minute always moving on still being available to the ‘conscious ville’ stop to see what’s ‘really goin’ on’! Seems most everyone has a cell phone that has a ‘signal bar’ to let us know how ready it is to talk and hear.  Likewise, each person comes with a ‘’signal bar’ within to measure how conscious and sensitive the heart and being are. It’s hidden in plain sight like on the cell phone!

Put your head on the chopping block to drain out all the piles of shit that only serve to modify the shit below that. Stop, look in, and see the unnecessary ‘flotsam’ that needs to be catharted to float away to sink into an unretrievable ocean. Jesus saves? Muhammed is the way? The truth for you is only in you! Anyone else can, at best, only point out to the direction of truth. Time waits for no one but marches on leaving the carcasses of procrastination and ‘self stupidity’ behind. Each of us is a loving and brilliant human hidden in plain sight, but for seeing it inside, and not outside in the infinite distractions! Move toward the enlightening light!
