How Long is It?

photo

August 30, 2010
Length is over rated! Quality is often ignored for length. We humans accept cliches as gospel when in fact they were outdated to begin with. ‘God the Father, or God up in the sky’, or ‘heaven above’ – on and on. Less important concerning ‘length’, but still in the mentality of the masses, is to judge success of a marriage by it’s length!  20 – 50 – 70 years have NOTHING to do with the quality that may not hold a candle to a partnership of say a year with a beautiful transition to a special friendship, or even nothing but a positive memorable, following shadow throughout life.

People are dyslexic when it comes to certain values of importance, seeing only what they’ve been programmed to accept as a ‘lesser value’, instead clinging to ‘backwards thinking’. Enlightenment comes in a moment, and has NOTHING to do with length of time, nor does what a ‘relationships length’ have anything to do with inner evolvement, or self realization. Eternal bliss enters a being when an invisible line has been crossed in a conscious mind that has become empty of the chatters of ‘me-me-me’.

Moving and arriving to the peaks of consciousness comes in a flash, an evolvement, and most likely, never! One way is meditation, the second being through a deep love with another. Both meet at the same ‘top of the mountain’ but with different paths as well as ‘looking different’. Both fill one with love. The meditation path is the ‘path of the alone’ to the alone. The ‘love path’ has been more rare due to prior ‘world conditions’, and subjugation of the female. It happens with two people who move beyond individuality into the mysteries of oneness.

Being able to drop the ‘object’ of love, meaning the relationship with the beloved, and see that the ‘love’ is within you, is enlightening. It’s not how long it lasts, but the depth of the quality. Drop yourself, let go of everything, be free! Quality creates a different, and eternal kind of length. To Love another person is to see the face of God!
Namaste,
Arhata

Rooster Rule
rooster by pbloco

August 27, 2010
If you’re a light sleeper, the crow of the rooster at 3 am is an uninvited wake up call. Roosters rule the ‘roost’! Cats think they have permission to act like ‘favored by god’ and largely ignore advise. Roosters (and certain men) think that god has incarnated into them! A rooster has a ‘top of the roost’ ego until the fox gets in the pen, and ‘viola’! All cultures were rule by ‘roosters’ over the feminine and the masses of disadvantaged. today, it’s disappearing in the western world with strong shadows of yesteryear lingering.

In the middle east, in particular, men have been eternally misogynistic, or women abusers and haters. Cultures (even whole countries or religions) around the world still regard women as ‘chattel’. Even in more advanced cultures, there are micro cultures of these so called ‘roosters’ who control through methods amounting to ‘selfish treason’ against the liberties of others.

Roosters are ‘pure ego’ that unchallenged feed on their own self glorification. Because of this ‘false dominance’ they become deluded into really believing the are the ‘cock of the walk’ that sooner or later meets with their ‘head on the chopping block’ of life. The greatest golfer ever (Tiger Woods) this week met the chopping block in a divorce from his beautiful naive Swedish wife who since late last year suffered the humiliation of his ‘infidelity exposures’. Tiger got too full of himself in transcending compassion for the one he proclaimed love for. On the other hand, a beautiful wife as his, could very well have lived on her beauty as a ‘rooster’ thinking that ‘fairy tale lives’ don’t need total communication!

The ‘ego’ is a mask from reality. Societies, cultures, religions, or individuals prance their ‘gobbledegook’ of self importance as the ‘fiddler on the roof’ forgetting the compassion for others. All things are changing rapidly at this juncture in time of technological and information explosions. Crawling and walking in tune with yesteryears myopic thinking will not serve the advancement of consciousness and a more aware and loving world or personal experience. Take time to focus on awareness of both the inner and outer. Be a ‘self plumber’ for leaks in the heart that want to be filled with love. The mind is a ‘rooster crowing’ without the heart of sensitivity.

Flight of a Woman

Rise of the Phoenix. by Model Career

August 24, 2010
The conscious, evolved woman is a divine teacher of love. She no longer is the ‘breakaway’ feminist revolting against centuries of abuse as little more than ‘chattel’ for men. In the 1960-70’s she denied love in search of independence and her rights as an equal human. Now her revolt is more wisely converted into a ‘conscious being’ focusing increasingly on her own healthy self love as well as being a teacher of love both to children and often to a partner including human kind in general.

In the past, cultures and religions worldwide, coupled with ‘survival living’ that included none of the 20th and 21st centuries comfort technologies, had relegated females to a subservient role. The ‘breakaway’ from the deep programming, and fears of finding individual independence while finding the elusive love of another has created a conundrum of frustration for females searching out a healthy holistic life in harmony with inner expectations.

Females need to see that now is the time for them to flower. One of Buddha’s last utterances was ‘Be a light unto yourself’, meaning surrender to life, then you become ‘enlightened’. Stop following anyone, and clinging to someone, but at the same time recognize that you are interdependent on others for love to blossom like never before. Trust yourself, existence, and be with someone who engenders that flowering. Be open, vulnerable, and also let it manifest in communication.

Go beyond believing, it’s not enough.  Search for yourself while finding the space of trust. Another’s words, no matter how brilliant, are only their’s, and not yours. They won’t help without having the experience of those words, and feeling them deeply. Shortcuts are elusive. Each must find their own way. When as a couple, each must seek truth and communicate all experiences in that search with each other to create a deep love bond that goes beyond trust. Love is a light that shines brightest with awareness, sensitivity, and communication. Love is freedom. Humans, whether male or female have missed ‘freedom and love’ down the ages. It’s the best time right now to meet, and enjoy both. Hurry – life is short, but take time to smell the roses!

Talking Vampires Did It Ever Occur To You, Good Talker - Postcard by Shook Photos

August 26, 2010
Communication is more important than love! Love at this time is used as a meaningless word to gather a return acknowledgment, and often at the uncomfortableness of the recipient. Communication does not work that way! Communication works best as a dialog or a mutual agreed upon communing of verbal exchanges flowing in the same direction. It can be conscious, or unconscious and natural.

People have ‘spaces’ that need to be appreciated sensitively. Those ‘spaces’ are physical, mental, verbal, emotional, quite spaces and anything one is sensitive and protective about. An ‘invasion’ into someone’s space without their clear invitation is a form of psychic vampiring or put in blunt terms, worse case, a space rape. It’s easy to settle into routines that, at the same time, cross lines with infinite people without one ever really being consciously aware of the trespass that often, out of politeness or ‘tongue-tiedness’ of the recipient, goes unnoticed, and payed attention to for correction.

Self awareness is key to any spiritual, mental, physical or emotional development. In other words, to ‘know yourself’. You need to focus on every living moment with an attitude of evolvment into the highest realms of your being. Life everywhere is filled with behaviors that have little compassion either for inner development or empathy for others conscious viewpoints. Humanity is not just billions of separate people with no inner cohesiveness. We are all one, breathing each others air space as the earth is in perpetual motion on it’s own journey into ever changing space, even if it doesn’t appear to be.

Choose to be aware, or unconsciously lead a life that is filled with unexamined choices that leaves one seemingly immobile to rise to heights of consciousness. Talking is overrated, and often is self serving banter that goes unchecked by intelligence and discernment. Make words meaningful, and filled with the spirit of compassion and love. Talking happens in many languages, and is just ‘sounds’ to those who speak other languages on many levels. Conscious silence is golden, and allows the heart to gather feelings of a deeper love. Giving with no expectations, fills the heart with love energy! Let the silence of love talk!

Idiotological & Forgiveness

Redneck City? by The_Moores

August 16, 2010
“Idiotological’ is way of life where common sense and love are redefined to mean whatever suits the moment with major concerns for what will benefit oneself. The ‘politics of everyday living’ are given merit to support a way of living that follows what one has learned from childhood and the general culture around. The repetitive set of values are reinforced by seeking agreement among like minded individuals. All behaviors are seen by those in this category as pleasurable and acceptable not needing to be changed.

Implicit in this way of life is to take the middle way. The middle way, unconsciously, is to seek that style between what is seen as the polarity of the two extremes. One extreme avoided is being intentionally hurtful of others who don’t deserve it as well as avoiding acts which lead to a more evolved life that seems to take too much effort. Taking the easy way hopefully is the middle way for this type of human. Things seem ‘reasonable’ as they are for these people.

The ‘idiotological person’ sees this as a time in life to take advantage of the infinite opportunities of enjoyment including various medicants or beliefs that keep him feeling high. Avoiding having to think of past and future memories that conflict with the moment are vital areas to stay clear of! This person looks to fashion a life either based on worshipping a ‘belief system already laid out’ or creating one by the ‘seat of pants’ that he looks at as a step above ‘praying and do gooding’ so as not too avoid the ‘fruits of the times’.

Those who are in judgment of this type of living need to understand that it’s ‘freedom of choice’ as well having reasons behind the choice which may need understanding and compassion by others. ‘Forgiveness’ is an important concept here. Forgiveness means that you simply accept the person as they are and love the way they are. Forgiveness means that you don’t judge them and be judgmental. Thinking the ‘old way’ is that forgiveness means that the other has done wrong. That’s judging, and then forgiving so the ‘forgiveness’ was false! No question of forgiving arises. No accusing, grudge holding or complaining. Let go and deal in the most positive, compassionate way possible and appropriate.

We all ‘act out’ on different levels of awareness. The levels are not vertical but just levels of awareness. The planet is a ‘planet of idiots’ – some just are more conscious of that state!

Po
August 15, 2010
Moving beyond thinking out of the box comes with a higher, creative consciousness that often gives a challenging new meaning to ‘boiler plate thinking’.  Humanity often resorts to the least creative way to use thought with a great resistance to the possibilities that might give a whole new meaning to thoughts. ‘Po’ is a new word that facilitates and encourages thinking beyond the polarity of  ‘yes and no’ in opening up the gray area in between as perhaps even more representative of the truth. That ‘gray area’ is more colorful!

“Po, or beyond Yes and No is the basic primer of a revolutionary way of thinking. Edward de Bono maintains that most of us are trapped within the rigid confines of traditional thinking, limited by concepts which have developed simply for the purpose of arriving at the ‘right’ answer. While humanity has advanced technologically, in the realm of ideas and thought processes we are, he says, still using the restricted and the restricting concepts that have always been used.

Po lets you step outside the harsh rigidity of the YES/NO system and change from the present thought pattern to creating new ideas. He offers Po as a device for changing our ways of thinking: a method fro approaching problems in a new and more creative way. It is the product of a research scientist who notably - and very entertainingly – thinks for himself.”

‘Po’ thinking creates a ‘cognitive dissonance’ that challenges the routine, non thinking ways of responding within the ‘box of acceptability’.  We have been conditioned by aspects of society to think in a ‘linear way’ with little thought. The gap between technology and human thinking has been broadening by the month creating a more ancient world living incompatibly in an advancing technological world.

An example of  ‘po thinking’ that I frequently use with Christians who ask me if I believe in god is this: “Three things: One, there is no god. Two, there is God. Three, both are  false! Yes/No thinking is disrupting the thought process. All is real …while it exists. A lit match is real only for the moments before the flame dies.  Beyond our ‘black and white’ conventional thinking is a whole other epiphenomenon  waiting for our conscious exploration. Change for evolvement is good, and necessary! There are infinite levels of perception and experiencing that await lifting the invisible veils hiding mysteries. Use ‘po’ to stop, and see deeper. Words have levels or degrees of meaning that are revealed with greater awareness and depth of love.

Rich$$ Without Money$

photo

August 13, 2010
Life is an experienced blessing for those rich in spirit and love.  ‘Poor’ comes with both rich and poor materially. Having intermingled with the ‘so called rich on Wall St.’ for years, along with seeing the many homeless, or nearly so, in Venice Beach, California for many years, I can safely say, ‘which is better’. Out of the many with little money are a growing few who live ‘bohemian style’, which by my definition is people who live creatively and unconventionally as they enhance their life style with the focus more so on inner aspects of the self.

In many ways, a bohemian life style can come closer to the soul of artful living within the heart and an openness that can serve to make it a more harmonious way of life. The ‘bohemian mind’ is into art, poetry, writing, music and the general culture of healthy living. Discernment of what goes into the body is a priority be it healthy foods or healthy thoughts and feelings.

In a sense, the ‘bohemian is like a gypsy’, originated from the Eastern European and the Slavic country of Bohemia, later in the 19th century colloquialized by the French and others to describe the non traditional lifestyles of marginalized and impoverished artists, writers, journalists, musicians, actors, and more today ‘the spiritually minded’. In the colloquial use of the word, they are associated with unorthodox or anti establishment political, religious, and social viewpoints. Often bohemians are more open to a freer love, frugality, and/or voluntary poverty.

With drastic economic changes in the 21st century, no longer is America and the western world at the forefront of people living in a more elegant style. As Thomas Friedman, pulitzer prize winning journalist explains in his best selling book, ‘The World is Flat’, ‘outsourcing’ of the ‘manufacturing’ to other less expensive labor forces around the world is changing the way we live. The ‘American Dream’ needs to alter itself in these changing times to focus on the inner quality of life, and it’s expression into society from there.

The moment of ‘power seeking’ driven by consumer thirst is becoming a more minuscule way of life more for the obsessed and misdirected who worship God as money. The most exquisite moment in time on the earth is now and here. If it can be called a ‘possession’ (as it is one to endlessly give away), love can be the focus of the ‘new attainment’, with at least a little ‘bohemian style’! Time to ‘rethink’ priorities

Vampires of Love
Unrequited Love by ???
August 12, 2010
Most want to be loved … by someone else … FIRST!

Love begins with an innocence of heartfelt intentions until fears come up. Life comes down to a moment in love that two people hope lasts forever. It does, but gets left in the closets of time in it’s once pristine form. Reasons abound as to why love seems to slip away and becomes often unreachable anymore. The ‘casanova moment of love’ ends in but an awakening from the dream like moments into memories buried in the heart. The ‘dream’ was real until love ran from fear driven expressions.

Loved by someone else FIRST, is a kind of ‘vampiring’ of love’s beauty. Fear and love mixed is 100% conditional and rarely beyond ‘functional’, at best. The question to ask oneself is. ‘Is that all there is to life’, and love? Love doesn’t ‘lead someone on’ into an eventual abyss of hurt that gets tucked away eventually in the files of memory. Love is an energy that survives on itself or at least a replenishment of a growing into a deeper love that does sustain itself.

Once basic survival is grasped, the quest for a deeper love is the priority over all other ventures but sadly, is side skipped for ‘toys and pay-for-it stimulations’ of pleasure. Life is a vampire of mediocrity. The ‘mediocrity of ego for self interest’, with marginal attention given to evolving the self, is the bane of both individual existence and that of society.

Love, and the pursuit of it’s deeper manifestations is the one thing that is most guaranteed to give life a purpose and meaning. The pursuit of power and possessions is merely a peripheral benefit to essentially pad and provide amusement in life. FIRST comes love of the self (not negative, narcissistic, ego self love). Then, if it’s meant to be, love of another can happen where everything is let go of to love the other with the same energy of loving the self. The other person becomes like an extension of you while keeping their own individuality. It’s not unlike the strings on a virtuoso violin that needs the exact tension on the strings for the finest music. To much tension or too much slack and the music hasn’t the perfect tone of love.

The best music isn’t that which drags on lasting the longest, but that with the highest quality which becomes part of the very soul. One way, unrequited love isn’t ‘two way love’! Two way total love becomes a meditation.

Stressless but Tense
River Etive (Tone Mapped) by The Flying Pig
August 11, 10
Life at its best is a balance of harmony. Stress is out of harmony as is laziness or a lack of desire to extend effort. A little stress or a little laziness can be ok, but not a consistent flow of either. Awareness of sensitivity to that which brings harmony is best. One remains alive and vibrant in a zone between apathy and stress. A positive ‘tension’ is a balance between the polarity of the two extremes.

Always seek the ‘middle ground’ where sometimes a feeling of tension that might come as excitement, expectation, wondering, even nervousness, etc, but always somewhat with emotions happens. Move in the direction of that tension, but not too much that stress occurs or too little where apathy or noninvolvement happens. These challenges give you substance, meaning, or a tone. Like the strings on a musical instrument, there is a certain tension, not too much or too little to give it ‘tone’ for music. You, likewise, are more alive, intelligent, vibrant, and in the heart.

Your life is a mystery of existence, borrowed, and not yours. It is an intricate manifestation of the whole of existence given to you in a form or a temple that is yours for the moment.  Consciousness is a separate dimension from the body but at this time can be in ‘tune’ with the body. One can be both tranquil and yet capable of being at the center while the periphery is filled with activity. In a sense, one can be at the center of the hurricane and yet tranquil.

The secret is to remain calm at the center inspite of the peripheral activity. To let the activity enter into the center of tranquility creates stress and worries, which most of society has. There are techniques involving vigorous exercise or meditations of letting go which reinsert a tranquil space between the two negative polarities mentioned. To find that space between ‘just existing’ and stressful may be a challenge, but also an adventure to find the right tension or tone. Love is a tone.

Replacing Yourself
 by toriginal
August 10, 2010
Love replaces the need for meditation, but rarely does any one love unconditionally with totalness for fear of losing themselves. In love, to lose the part that is not really you, loving your inner self is necessary in order to find uninhibited love with another. The mind usually becomes the enemy of love and accumulates reasons why without letting go. The walls of resistance grow deeper and higher as the years go by.

Life in the 21st century is increasingly becoming one of self medicating fueled by ‘fear based beliefs’ in information passed on from generation to generation or drugging oneself with ‘stimulants’ bought from pharmaceutical vendors, and those looking to make easy money selling ‘happy medications’. Life itself, with it’s incredible nonstop array of technological manifestations, has created a human race that seeks pleasure in longing to possess, possess, and race to the next ‘feel good’ moment.

Ironically, we are at the best moment on earth for the advancement of consciousness, and not of just ‘things’ for distraction and replacement of the most important element of life. That element, said in many ways over thousands of years, is finding the god or godliness within while replacing the maladjusted and corrupted false self which lingers in the quicksands of perpetual confusion. In view of all the educational and technological advancements to provide better answers for better living, has consciousness of the inner really led to a more compassionate, loving world? Scratch the surface and find that little has changed in the inner for all but a minuscule few.

Love itself is the greatest way to evolve, but the most difficult, even in this amazing world of opportunity. No other way is necessary if love is found within, and one is open to allowing someone else in to replace the ego. The ego is like a prison that is ‘self guarded’ and very unwilling to give itself up, even for love, because it has deluded itself into believing that giving less will serve what resembles love, and selfish needs at the same time. To replace yourself with another is a complete manifestation of love. Ironically, the ‘individualness’ is strengthened by letting go of the ego and letting love ‘takeover’ the being. Love is freedom and compassion for the self, and the other.
